Frank is a photographer. He sent me this shot with no explanation. I'm guessing, Bennett Surfboards showroon, Pittwater rd Brookvale 1975 as Bennett made Lightning Bolts under licence.
I love the Klemm Bell diamond tail. It looks a lot like the board Dan is bringing to the surf swap on April 10th.
I have a genuine Reno sunset gun that looks like the Bolt pictured here.
ReplyDeleteI rode it a few times but that entire plan shape period was a dud....aweful to turn etc. Thats how I got it..Reno dumped it at my house as he didnt like it. I will post a pic...needs a bit of resto..then again maybe best left 'original'
Good line up Damion - but don't you reckon its probably a little earlier than 75...? And pretty sure thats a gold coast "spirit of the sea" diamond tail next to the mccoy.
ReplyDeleteI wanna ride either of them McCoy's.
ReplyDeletedon't fix it unless you need to ride it robbi - age is beauty
